We’re happy to report that our “Bookworms” program is underway!
How it works
At the end of each class, the children get to borrow a book from our collection to bring home to share with their parents. Once they’ve had the pleasure of reading the book with their child, the parent then signs their child’s book log and sends the book back to school with their child. The child will then receive a special sticker on their chart and will get to choose another book to bring home and so on…
Once a child has read and returned either 5 or 10 books (based on class
frequency), they will get to choose their very own brand new book from
our collection to
add to their own collection!
Reading to a child is one of the most important steps a parent can take to help encourage a lifelong love of reading in their child (and it’s fun for everyone, too!)
